Life is a great leveler; it gives quite a few moments of pleasure and at the same time it creates definite reasons to worry and sob. For those who are blessed with a more or less happy and stable life, even acne can be a cause for great worry. In fact, acne is no mean demon if you think that the human race is obsessed with its physical appearance.

In the times of Achilles, it was the body and its myriad powers but today, it is the face and its dimensions first. Naturally, acne can be the reason for major disappointment. Men can still handle it without rounds of hysteria but with women such a tremor on the facial land can be reason for deep anguish.
To understand acne, people need to understand its root. Only when they find its base can they treat it effectively. Let’s face it: few types of skin are more vulnerable to pimples. An acne prone skin is generally an oily one which has high degree of humidifying agents working on the skin surface. This gives ample breeding grounds to pimples and they make merry on the facial features. Another big enemy is hormone overhaul.
During the adolescent stage of our life, there is a tendency in estrogen and testosterone to go overboard. This immediately results in metabolic bursts leading to skin eruptions. While it is natural in adolescents, irrational secretion of hormone can also be caused at other times in life owing to stress or over medication.
The former may result in periodic rounds of pimple or a constant breakout on the facial surface. After all, stress is keenly associated with skin irritations and such eruptions fall within its category. Those people who have gone for continued rounds of medication may also suffer from resistant acne for a few months after the stoppage of medication. Again, this has got to do with metabolic attempts of releasing heat through body surface.
It has been found that our food habit may also be responsible for an acne prone skin. Those who take a glutton leap on burgers, patties and other fried foods and keep away from regular water intake may also find pimple developing like serial killers; same method of crime and they keep coming back and back. There may be various other reasons too for the skin breakouts. You must understand that prevention is far better than any line of cure for this kind of problem.
Acne is not a disease, it is a medical tendency and once you check this tendency, it can be kept within limits or completely off hook. Proper water intake, eating nutritious foods, daily exercise regimens and living a balanced life free of stress ( in present times free of stress implies limited stress) can work well in keeping these eruptions at low levels. Humans seek solution and pretty strong ones even when floods or cyclones ravage our lands; pimples are after all nothing but small skin eruptions and they can be tidied with some discipline for sure.
